Finding that there is no statistically significant difference in the presence of levels of test anxiety by type of family, appearing in higher percentages middle and low anxiety. In smaller percentage high levels of anxiety are presented. We conclude therefore that levels of anxiety that students have the above do not differ by type of family.Se estudiaron los niveles de ansiedad ante los exámenes según el tipo de familia en una muestra de 230 estudiantes del primer año de Psicología de la Universidad César Vallejo, mediante un diseño transeccional de tipo descriptivo comparativo. Para este fin, se les administró el test de Inventario de Autoevaluación de la Ansiedad ante Exámenes (Idase), de Bauermeister, Collazo y Spielberger (1988), y se aplicó una ficha sociodemográfica para conocer el tipo de familia a la cual pertenecen. Así se encontró que no existe una diferencia estadísticamente significativa en la presencia de los niveles de ansiedad ante los exámenes según el tipo de familia, presentándose en mayores porcentajes la ansiedad intermedia y baja. En menor porcentaje, se presentan los niveles altos de ansiedad.
