A pilot test consisting of 80 participants of the same association was carried out, in order to validate the instrument, after which the scale was applied to the general sample, which were 350 inhabitants of the selected association. The research design is experimental, Instrumental and exploratory level. The main objective is to design the scale and find its psychometric properties. Content validity was carried out through the review of 20 expert judges in psychology; the process of construct validity was carried out by means of the correlation of the articles - test and items - factor. With respect to the reliability of the test, a value of .888 was obtained, according to the Cronbach’s Alpha method; Likewise in the analysis of reliability by means of the method of separation of the cities, the score of .877 was achieved reaffirming the existing reliability. To complete the investigation, the general scoring categories and by each factor were carried out according to the sex of the participants and concluded that the test is valid and reliable.La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad diseñar la Escala de actitudes de preparación frente a los desastres socionaturales en pobladores de la Asociación San Diego de Alcalá en el distrito de San Martín de Porres, cuya línea de investigación es psicométrica. Se realizó una prueba piloto conformado por 80 participantes de la misma asociación con el fin de validar el instrumento, posterior a ello, se realizó la aplicación de la escala a la muestra general, los cuales fueron 350 pobladores de la asociación seleccionada. El diseño de la investigación es no experimental, de tipo instrumental y de nivel exploratoria. El objetivo principal fue diseñar la escala y hallar sus propiedades psicométricas. La validez de contenido se realizó mediante la revisión de 20 jueces expertos en psicología, el proceso de la validez de constructo se realizó por medio de la correlación ítems-test e ítems-factor. Con respecto a la confiabilidad de la prueba, se obtuvo un valor de 0,888, según el método de Alfa de Cronbach. Asimismo, en el análisis de confiabilidad por medio del método de separación de dos mitades, se consiguió el puntaje de 0,877, reafirmando la confiabilidad existente.
