The instruments used were The Personal Factors of Resilience Inventory proposed by Salgado (2005) and The Check List of Social Skills by Goldstein (1978) previously adapted; the type of study is basic-level descriptive correlational, non-experimental design, cross-type. The results showed there is not a significant relationship between resilience and social skills; however, there are significant relationships between the empathy factor and five dimensions of social skills, except the dimension of planning skills, as well as a statistically significant relationship with the global social skills.El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación entre resiliencia y habilidades sociales en un grupo de adolescentes. La muestra estuvo conformada por 515 estudiantes de ambos sexos, de 6.o grado de educación primaria de dos distritos de Lima norte, cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 10 y 12 años. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el inventario de factores personales de resiliencia propuesto por Salgado (2005) y la lista de chequeo de habilidades sociales de Goldstein (1978), previamente adaptado para este estudio. El tipo de estudio es básico de nivel descriptivo correlacional, de diseño no experimental, tipo transversal.
