In these descriptions it will be possible to appreciate the extension of the power of modern technology and the possible negative repercussions that it could have against the possibility of the conservation of human life and nature. Thus, the use and possession of nuclear weapons will be taken as a matter of ethical questioning.El trabajo analiza los conceptos éticos de Jonas: el principio de la responsabilidad y el nuevo imperativo y su discusión con el uso de las armas nucleares. Para ello, se describen las nociones de técnica (techne), naturaleza (physis) y técnica moderna. En estas descripciones se aprecian la ampliación del poder de la técnica moderna y las posibles repercusiones negativas que podría tener contra la posibilidad de la conservación de la vida humana y la naturaleza.
