This is one of many Latin American cases in which various types of beliefs, rites, and ethics intersect. It can be said that the common people have generated a polyreligious ecclesiality. A large part of the people defines themselves and registers in the Catholic field. But this is not uniform, since different religious currents are present.La población católica anda por ondulados caminos propios y también transita por grandes carreteras. En el Sur Andino del Perú el cristianismo universal es muy particular, con rasgos inculturados e interculturados. Se trata de uno de tantos casos latinoamericanos en que se entrecruzan varios tipos de creencias, ritos, éticas. Puede decirse que la gente común ha generado una eclesialidad polirreligiosa. Gran parte de la gente se autodefine e inscribe en el terreno católico.
