The process was interrupted by the military coup led by Manuel Odría and by the dictatorial obstacles that he imposed on popular organizations and trade unionism.A partir de 1945, en la sierra central, diversas comunidades comienzan a gestionar su reconicimiento oficial, se inician o reanudan engorrosos procesos judiciales entre los comuneros y los terrateniente, algunos de los cuales como en el caso de Huasicancha y la hacienda Laive, se remontaban al siglo XVII, a la vez que en el interior mismo de las haciendas las relaciones de dependencia personal ingresan en una crisis definitiva cuando los colonos comienzan a formar sus primeros sindicatos.
