| Sumario: | The aim of this study was to analyze dating violence in adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, explanatory analyses were carried out to determine the role of variables such as self-esteem, types of attachment, jealousy or conflict resolution in the perpetration or victimization of violence. A quantitative study with associative and predictive, cross-sectional and ex post facto scopes was carried out. A total of 390 Mexican adolescents participated, of whom 229 were female and 161 were male, with a mean age of 16.75 years (SD=1.25). Descriptive statistical analyses, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Cronbach's Alpha index, Mann–Whitney U test and Spearman's correlation index were performed. Among the results, it stands out that the prevalence of violence was low and in the differences by sex of the variables included, it is observed that in the sample of women the involvement committed and in men the physical violence perpetrated and suffered stood out. With respect to the association between the variables, the bidirectional nature of violence stood out for both sexes. By means of predictive models, one of the variables that stood out was the involvement committed in conflict resolution. Therefore, it is considered necessary to continue with efforts in the prevention of violence that includes both sexes through learning healthy forms of conflict resolution, as well as individual psychological work on anxious attachment and jealousy. |
