The liturgical order is followed as a logical rule in the punitive procedure: in the face of the breach of a norm, justice, as its antagonist, represses the fact through punishment. It is the fundamental opposition of criminal law: crime and punishment. The ultimate foundation of the power to apply punishment lies in the transgression whose delimitation is exhaustively predetermined. The ritual of colonial justice then follows a liturgical order that regulates times and spaces in such a way that they make sense for society. In this work, these rituals are analyzed, which establish a series of sequences or steps from the capture of the transgression to the final application of the punishment. The material and symbolic components and the discursive sequence of the penal ritual will be studied. Universidad Católica San Pablo2008-06-14info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersiondossierapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/44110.36901/allpanchis.v40i71.441Allpanchis; Vol. 40 Núm. 71 (2008): Cultura Jurídica en el Nuevo Mundo; 187-209Allpanchis; Vol. 40 No. 71 (2008): Legal Culture in the New World; 187-2092708-89600252-883510.36901/allpanchis.v40i71reponame:Revistas - Universidad Católica San Pabloinstname:Universidad Católica San Pabloinstacron:UCSPspahttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/441/932Derechos de autor 2008 Carlos Alberto Garcéshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.ucsp.edu.pe:article/4412022-05-25T04:46:47Z
