In winter the hills look like painter's palettes."Todo es grande allí, En las pampas cubiertas de pajonales discurren millares de ovejas como nubes... Hasta en sus calamidades es grandiosa la meseta... De pronto toda la naturaleza se nuble, el rayo surge seguido del retumbante trueno. Todo tiembla de espanto... Los relámpagos iluminan como teas perennes y el granizo resuena como estrépito en todos los flancos de los cerros... Pero en seguida, en un instante, en un segundo, todo calla, cesa el rayo y el granizo; se hace un gran silencio en la naturaleza y un boquete en las nubes deja filtrar el son alegre y vivificante...
