The title of the manuscript found in the National Library of Madrid indicates precisely its subject: "Opinion on the domain of the Yngas and Kings of Spain in the Kingdoms of Peru." It is specifically a relationship made to support the right of the kings of Spain over the kingdom of Peru, the last to have been conquered in the Indies. The anonymous author writes from Yucay, a place near Cusco, in the very heart of the Inca empire.El así llamado "anónimo de Yucay" es un testigo importante de las discusiones teológicas-jurídicas motivadas por la conquista de las Indias. El título que lleva el manuscrito que se halla en la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid indica en forma precisa su tema: "Dictamen sobre el dominio de los Yngas y Reyes de España en los Reinos del Perú". Se trata concretamente de una relación hecha para apoyar el derecho de los reyes de España sobre el reino del Perú, el último en haber sido conquistado en las Indias.
