In addition, I think that thanks to this effort by María Teresa Oré, new research possibilities are opened up that will allow us to deepen our knowledge of the technical and social transformations that take place in a canal -in this case, that of La Achiracana del Inca, in the Ica Valley-, when landowners, indigenous people and the state generate a dynamic of cooperation and conflict for the administration of the hydraulic infrastructure and the distribution of the water resource.Considero que éste es un libro importante, que debe ser leído con mucha atención, porque marca un derrotero original para la investigación interdisciplinaria sobre la gestión, el uso y los conflictos del agua en el Perú a lo largo del siglo XX.
