Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective research was carried out by creating an instrument composed of 21 multiple-choice questions. The instrument was subjected to an expert judgment and a pilot test to be applied to a total sample of 150 participants (50 undergraduate students of Stomatology, 50 general dentists and 50 specialists in pediatric dentistry). 50% of the sample was surveyed again (test retest). Results: the questionnaire reached a high content validity by obtaining a score of 0.98. The KR20 analysis showed a high reliability of 0.64 and the Spearman coefficient a very high reproducibility of 0.86. Conclusions: The present instrument is valid, reliable and reproducible to be executed in future investigations with the recommendations suggested in the investigation.El traumatismo dentoalveolar es una de las injurias más prevalentes tratadas por el odontólogo y de mayor incidencia en la población infantil; no todos los profesionales se han actualizado en los últimos protocolos para su manejo. Objetivo: El propósito del estudio fue validar un cuestionario para medir el nivel de conocimiento de traumatismos dentoalveolares en niños en base a los protocolos actualizados. Material y métodos: Se realizó una investigación de tipo observacional, descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo mediante la validación de un instrumento compuesto por 21 preguntas de opción múltiple. Se sometió el instrumento a juicio de expertos, evaluación de confiabilidad y reproducibilidad aplicándola a una muestra de 150 participantes (50 estudiantes de pregrado de Estomatología, 50 odontólogos generales y 50 especialistas en odontopediatría). Resultados: El cuestionario alcanzó una alta validez de contenido al obtener un puntaje de 0.98. El análisis KR20 evidenció una confiabilidad alta de 0.64 y el coeficiente de Pearson una reproducibilidad muy alta de 0.87.
