Results: The prevalence of pulp disease in teeth with untreated caries according to the pufa index in children aged 3 to 7 years in Taquile-Puno was 36%; of which 17% were female and 19% male (p<0.05). The highest prevalence was at 5 years of age (p<0.05), and the most frequent pathology was pulpitis with 61%. The most affected tooth according to the pufa index was 8.4 (16%). The most affected arch was the lower arch with 55% (p<0.05). Conclusions: The prevalence of pulp disease in teeth with untreated caries according to the pufa index in children aged 3 to 7 years in Taquile-Puno was 36%, with the highest prevalence at five years of age. The main condition was pulpitis and the tooth with the highest prevalence was 8.4.Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de consecuencias clínicas de caries dental no tratada según el índice pufa en niños de 3 a 7 años de la isla de Taquile Puno. Material y métodos: El estudio fue de diseño descriptivo, observacional y transversal con una muestra no probabilística, en la que se evaluaron 147 niños de 3 a 7 años de ambos sexos. Se realizaron exámenes orales clínicos utilizando el índice pufa. Los datos luego de ser tabulados se analizaron con la prueba chi cuadrado con una significancia de 0.05. Resultados: La prevalencia de enfermedades pulpares en piezas con caries no tratadas según el índice pufa en niños de 3 a 7 Años en Taquile- Puno fue del 36%; de los cuales el 17% fue del género femenino y 19% del género masculino (p<0.05). La mayor prevalencia se dio a los 5 años (p<0.05), y la patología más frecuente fue la pulpitis con 61%. La pieza dentaria con mayor afección según el índice pufa fue la 8.4 con (16%). La arcada más afectada fue la arcada inferior con 55% (p<0.05). Conclusión: La prevalencia de enfermedades pulpares en piezas con caries no tratadas según el índice pufa en niños de 3 a 7 años en Taquile- Puno, fue del 36%, con mayor prevalencia a los cinco años.
