This study aims at comparing both conventional open surgery for assessing the existence of any advantage of one technique over the other in urinary incontinence (SUI).Estas dos técnicas que llevan los nombres de sus autores, son las más conocidas de todas las técnicas de colposuspensión suprapúbica que son utilizadas con mayor frecuencia aquí y en otros lugares del mundo1-5; incluso la técnica de Burch ha sido empleada en la cirugía laparoscópica6,7.
