It has been minimal morbidity and no mortality, so it is recommending its application in daily gynecological practice.Se revisan 170 casos de prolapso genital, trotados con histerectomía vaginal complementaria, en el Servicio de Ginecología del Hospital Central N° 2 de la Seguridad Social del Perú, entre los años 1964 y 1973. Se ha practicado la histerectomía vaginal sobre todo en mujeres portadoras de cistorectocele, que están en la cuarta década o más de la vida y en mujeres menores, que han tenido patología uterina que lo justificase.
