The entire dynamic sequence of morphologic and biochemical phenomena contributes to the embryo implantation as well as its nourishing and maintenance during the first development stages.El útero es un órgano dinámico. No solo responde y sufre modificaciones a las señales hormonales del ciclo menstrual, sino que también está constituido por tejidos complejos, con importantes funciones anatómicas y paracrinas, siendo su componente más dinámico el endometrio, con su serie de fenómenos cíclicos, sincrónicos y complejos que lo caracterizan, modulados y mediados por una plétora de agentes bioquímicos producidos localmente.
