Has glimpsed the possibility of improving the current results as a result of advances in building megavoltage units, the technical improvement and knowledge in radiology.Se han definido los estadios iniciales del cáncer uterino discutiendo los argumentos teóricos y técnicos que abogan en favor de la radioterapia, llegándose a la conclusión de que el estadio "O" del cáncer de cérvix podría, con mucha ventaja, tratarse con radium útero-vaginal; el estadio 1 con radioterapia sola o con cirugía radical, con iguales posibilidades de éxito, de acuerdo a los méritos de cada caso; y el estadio II, con radioterapia sola o con radioterapia pre-operatoria. Los estadios iniciales del cáncer de endometrio deben tratarse con radium útero-vaginal seguido de cirugía radical hasta nuevo aviso.
