It should then before applying the forceps in practice to know exactly the services he may or may not pay; enter reasoned discussion of their role and know the purpose of the modifications that have been made to an instrument that day by an advanced degree of perfection reached today.Debo agradecer al Comité Ejecutivo del Primer Congreso Peruano de Obstetricia y Ginecología por el honor que me han dispensado al confiarme el estudio del Tema Oficial de Obstetricia titulado: Forceps: Valor Actual; trabajo del más grande interés en la práctica obstétrica y que procuraremos desarrollar siguiendo un plan simple, clásico, recordando que la aplicación del forceps debe ser un acto muy razonado y no una serie de movimientos mecánicos aprendidos en una especie de manual militar.
