It is concluded that the hormone dose wobble opens the possibility of hormonal contraception with lower intake of what is possible when a fixed dose regimen is used.458 mujeres fueron evaluadas durante 3585 ciclos en un estudio controlado randomizado y abierto, diseñado para comparar dos preparados bifásicos y un trifásico a base de Norgestrel/Etilnilestradiol. Los tres preparados son anticonceptivos efectivos y no se registraron gestaciones. El control del ciclo fue bueno con los tres, pero la incidencia de sangrado intermensual fue ayor con el trifásico. Con este preparado la ingesta hormonal total está bien por debajo de la dosis fija más baja de Norgestrel/Etinilestradiol como preparación combinada (300 mcg. Norgestrel más 30 mcg. EE) en la proporción original 10:1.
