We believe that the diagnosis of carcinoma of the tube, although it is difficult, it can be done if we consider that possibility in the sick, especially menopausal, presenting vaginal discharge, bleeding, abdominal pain and pelvic tumor. The study of vaginal discharge, by the Papanicolaou method we consider of value in screening for this cancer.Hemos hecho un breve recuerdo de la etiopatogenia, anatomía patológica, sintomatología. diagnóstico, pronóstico y tratamiento del cáncer primitivo de la trompa de Falopio. Se ha presentado un caso clínico de adenocarcinoma de la trompa asociado a fibroma uterino, en el cual los síntomas eran los más frecuentes de dicha entidad y sin embargo no se hizo el diagnóstico clínico ni operatorio, siendo un hallazgo del histopatólogo. Creemos que el diagnóstico de carcinoma de la trompa, si bien es difícil, se puede hacer si pensamos en esa posibilidad en las enfermas, sobre todo menopáusicas, que presenten flujo vaginal, hemorragias, dolor abdominal bajo y tumoración pelviana.
