In this context, initiatives to improve the quality of care are still vital to achieve this goal. Obstetric care packages are a series of measures to prevent or limit the severity of disease, and to facilitate the work of maternal care providers to obtain the best results.La morbimortalidad materna en el mundo sigue siendo una preocupación para los prestadores de la atención de la salud materna. La patología asociada a la maternidad puede ser severa e incluso mortal, y es en una proporción importante evitable. Ello motiva que los equipos de salud desplieguen esfuerzos para mejorar la seguridad de la atención obstétrica. En ese contexto, las iniciativas de mejoramiento de la calidad de la atención siguen siendo vitales para alcanzar esta meta.
