Twenty four hours later develop signs of acute abdomen, forty eight hours after an examination under anesthesia and curettage laparotomy was performed; the cause of all this picture: retrocecal perforated appendicitis.El presente caso, corresponde a la presentación atípica e infrecuente de una de las entidades más frecuentes de abdomen agudo que ameritan tratamiento quirúrgico. Una paciente teniendo el antecedente de haberse realizado maniobras abortivas once días antes, se presenta a Emergencia con una celulitis en el flanco derecho con irradiación a la región dorso-lumbar, formando un área de aproximadamente de 30 x 15 cm.; no refiriendo otra sintomatología.
