In both processes, two wise men who exerted a notable influence stand out, José Cecilio del Valle in Central America, and Hipólito Unanue in Peru, who with their reflection and dedication were decisive in the formation of consensus that forged the emancipation and creation of new independent political units.Los procesos de independencia en América Central y en el Perú son el resultado de un conjunto de pensamientos y acciones de cambio del sistema colonial español, concebidos por diversos personajes, que impulsaron la emancipación y perfilaron la nueva estructura del Estado liberal en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, basado en el principio de la separación de poderes, concepto legado por la escuela francesa.
