To this end, within the framework of the Andean Community (CAN), we recall the specific objectives and main functions of the Andean Health Organization (ORASCONHU). In addition, we focus on the access to health of Andean citizens in the light of the Andean Community Law, analyzing the figure of compulsory licensing of invention patents as a possible response to the COVID-19 pandemic. El presente artículo tiene por objeto abordar, desde el punto de vista de la integración regional, algunos de los problemas emergentes de la pandemia de COVID-19 con el objetivo de imaginar un nuevo camino o derrotero a seguir. Para ello, en el marco de la Comunidad Andina (CAN), rescatamos los objetivos específicos y las funciones principales del Organismo Andino de Salud (Oras-Conhu).
