Sumario: | Introduction: The digitization of health is a strategy to improve the tasks of the health system and serve as an aid to the professional to carry out specific activities quickly and with less effort; verifying how prepared or familiar they are with the use of information and communication technologies will serve to strengthen the profile of the obstetrics professional with digital skills.Objective: To determine the use and perception of digital health in students of the Professional School of Obstetrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, 2021.Materials and Methods: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study with a sample size of 203 obstetrics students from the second to the fifth academic year, to which an online questionnaire was applied. Digital health was dimensioned through telehealth, electronic clinical record, mobile health, e-learning and machine learning; the analysis was performed with the STATA software version 14.Results: More than 97.0% had Internet access devices and considered ICTs essential for the health sector. Within the dimensions of digital health, the most addressed in the course were telehealth (67.28%), electronic clinical records (48.85%) and e-learning (29.95%). The main tool used during the course was the electronic clinical record (47.46%), the main portal being Wawared; followed by e-learning (43.32%) and telehealth (36.41%). Family and community health, obstetrics and biostatistics courses were the main ones that imparted knowledge on digital health. A trend of perception of approval and very high approval of digital health indicators was observed.Conclusions: The electronic clinical record, telehealth and electronic learning represent the most used dimensions, although they only reach about half of the students, likewise, the perception is positive in multiple indicators. Characteristics were identified that will allow recognizing how digital health has been adopted in the career. |
