Sumario:Objective: Review the municipal local management for to improving the distrital local governments’ public management.  Material and Methods:  Research methodologies. Inductive, deductive and qualitative analysis methods are used to review the municipal management. The review was carried out during the fourth quarter of 2021. Results: Local authorities that are unaware of public management must take into account: institutional management, budget management, operational management and municipal management, all of these must be aligned with social, economic, political and environmental care and these must converge and translated into adequate attention to the provision of public services, taking into that the population measures the municipal management.  Conclusions: Local authorities are unaware about public management and they do not project the sustainability of action that will improve the services provided to people, with a slow contribution of the improvement of quality of life; therefore, coordination with government levels at the provincial and distrital levels is very important, with local authorities and municipal team in association with the sectors of the Peruvian state at the local level that serve to enhance the public services aimed at citizens; it is necessary to continue the promotion and strengthening of the means of coordination between levels of government.
