Contemporary viewpoints are also surveyed, illuminating themes such as the interplay between fact and value, the pursuit of justice, societal awareness, and the interplay between ideal and real elements. In navigating the intricate relationship between the "nature of things" and the law, the article posits that this concept serves as a substantive wellspring of legal doctrine and a lens for interpreting human behavior, thus constituting a pivotal component in comprehending and applying legal norms within society.Partiendo del anhelo de acercarse al mundo de las cosas para comprender el significado de las creaciones e instituciones, este artículo examina la evolución del concepto de la naturaleza de las cosas en el pensamiento jurídico a lo largo de la historia. Desde la jurisprudencia romana, que afirmó la relación entre el derecho y las cosas, hasta reflexiones de filósofos modernos, se aborda cómo la naturaleza de las cosas ha sido central en la fundamentación e interpretación del derecho. En ese sentido, se exploran también perspectivas contemporáneas que destacan temas clave como la relación entre hecho y valor, la búsqueda de justicia, la conciencia social, factores ideales y reales, entre otros.
