To this end, the arguments and interpretative methods used by the judges to resolve the lease trials are detailed. This will make it possible to evaluate the application of the law and the legitimacy of the interpretation performed. In this way, it is concluded that the judges have legitimacy in their innovative interpretation, which allows the creation of jurisprudence as an effective source of law.A finales de 1976, la Corte Suprema de Justicia del Perú emitió una serie de resoluciones en las que se establecieron criterios aplicativos distintos y se introdujo una interpretación novedosa. Por ello, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar los cambios interpretativos surgidos en la corte para determinar su aplicabilidad. Para ello, se detallan los razonamientos y los métodos interpretativos empleados por los jueces para resolver los juicios de arrendamiento. Esto permitirá evaluar la aplicación de la ley y la legitimidad de la interpretación realizada.
