| Sumario: | In this essay, the author reflects on the "new world order", referring to the impact of the events of September 11, 2001. The author argues that the new political and legal order must guarantee human dignity and distance itself from religious conceptions that seek to incorporate personal positions on power, principles or rights and its influence democratic institutions. The author also reflects on secularization and the importance of differentiating public ethics from private ethics. Finally, the author reflects on the values that should be considered, in his opinion, in the composition of the future political and legal order: equality, solidarity and freedom. |
