The successive CTI plans formulated in Argentina from 1998 to 2023 seem to reflect this idea. The objective of this work is to analyze the four state planning processes of STI, focusing on achievements, gaps between planned and the future challenges and invariances of STI planning in Argentina. The study is an explanatory, quantitative and empirical study, involving four case studies, supplemented by primary and secondary sources of a quantitative nature. The analysis of the plans will show an evolutionary process of state planning capacity, not free from gaps, continuities and future challenges of the evolutionary path of STI in Argentina. Gestionar la CTI (i. e. ciencia, tecnologi?a e innovacio?n) entran?a un alto nivel de complejidad y relevancia econo?mica y social para un pai?s como para dejarla librada a la improvisacio?n. Los sucesivos planes de CTI formulados en Argentina desde 1998 hasta el 2023 parecen hacerse eco de la idea sen?alada. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar los cuatro procesos de planificacio?n estatal de la CTI, haciendo foco en los logros, las brechas entre lo planificado y realizado, las invariancias y los desafi?os futuros de la planificacio?n de la CTI en Argentina. Se trata de un estudio explicativo, de cara?cter cualicuantitativo, abordado empi?ricamente mediante cuatro estudios de caso, complementados por fuentes primarias y secundarias de naturaleza cuantitativa.Del ana?lisis de los planes, se observara? un proceso evolutivo de la capacidad planificadora estatal, no exento de brechas, invariancias, continuidades y desafi?os futuros del sendero evolutivo de la CTI en Argentina.
