However, in public hospitals, the distance between the discourse and the concretion of care is observed, whose epitome is human praxis. This work is the result of a research project of the Master’s and Doctoral Program in Medical, Dental and Health Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Uses the ethnographic method in the clinical context. Findings open the discussion on the scope and implications of how technology is used in the clinical context. Currently, the use of technology is a topic of research in the Department of History and Philosophy of Medicine of the UNAM, coordinated by Professor Alfredo Paulo Maya.La atención de la salud es una actividad institucionalizada bajo rectoría del Estado. La política pública actual ofrece beneficios circunscriptos al avance científico y el uso de tecnología por su potencial para resolver problemas de gran complejidad. Sin embargo, en los hospitales públicos, se observa la distancia entre el discurso y la concreción de la atención, cuyo epítome es la praxis humana. Este trabajo se deriva de un proyecto de investigación del Programa de Maestría y Doctorado en Ciencias Médicas, Odontológicas y de la Salud de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Utiliza el método etnográfico en el contexto clínico. Los hallazgos abren la discusión sobre los alcances y las repercusiones del uso de la tecnología en el contexto clínico. A la fecha, el uso de la tecnología en la atención es tema de investigación en el Departamento de Historia y Filosofía de la Medicina de la UNAM, bajo la coordinación del Dr. Alfredo Paulo Maya.A assistência à saúde é uma atividade institucionalizada sob o controle do Estado. No entanto, nos hospitais públicos observa-se a distância entre o discurso e a concretização do cuidado, cujo epítome é a práxis humana. Este trabalho deriva de um projeto de pesquisa do Programa de Mestrado e Doutorado em Ciências Médicas, Odontológicas e da Saúde da Universidade Nacional Autônoma do México (UNAM).
