In this context, the present study examines the influence of the MalMath technological tool on the learning of quadratic equations among students enrolled in the Heavy Machinery Management and Maintenance program at Preparatec Tecsup. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with a sample of 50 students divided into a control group and an experimental group, using pre-test and post-test measurements. The results indicate that the pre-test did not act as a significant covariate influencing post-test outcomes. Consequently, the findings demonstrate that the use of the MalMath tool had a statistically significant positive effect on students’ learning of quadratic equations in introductory university-level mathematics courses. |

Por eso, este estudio determina la influencia del uso de la herramienta MalMath en el aprendizaje de las ecuaciones de segundo grado, en los estudiantes de la carrera de gestión y mantenimiento de maquinarias pesadas del Preparatec Tecsup. Con un diseño cuasiexperimental, una muestra de 50 estudiantes dividida en dos grupos, se aplicó un pre y postest. Los resultados indican que la variable independiente del pretest no interactuó como variable significativa que modificara los resultados del postest; se concluye que el uso de la herramienta MalMath influyó significativamente en el aprendizaje de las ecuaciones de segundo grado en estudiantes universitarios de matemática inicial.Os processos educativos que mais se beneficiam do uso de tecnologias educacionais são aqueles que envolvem cálculos extensos e a elaboração de gráficos de diferentes níveis de complexidade, como ocorre na matemática. Nesse contexto, este estudo analisa a influência da utilização da ferramenta tecnológica MalMath na aprendizagem de equações quadráticas em estudantes do curso de Gestão e Manutenção de Máquinas Pesadas do Preparatec Tecsup. Foi adotado um delineamento quase experimental, com uma amostra de 50 estudantes distribuídos em grupo controle e grupo experimental, por meio da aplicação de pré-teste e pós-teste. Os resultados indicam que o pré-teste não atuou como uma variável independente significativa capaz de modificar os resultados do pós-teste.
