To support these reflections, presents a fieldwork situation in which digital narratives were useful for rapport and to complement the field data. Thus, a remarkable aspect is that the reflection on improvisation in our ethnographic practice can lead us to an intentional experimentation that helps us to enlarge the robust methodological baggage of ethnography.En este artículo se exponen algunas ideas relacionadas con las dificultades que pueden suceder en el trabajo de campo y que podrían instar a improvisar para continuar de manera favorable con nuestras  investigaciones etnográficas. Sin embargo, esas decisiones deben considerar las implicaciones que tiene la improvisación en términos de producción de conocimiento y específicamente en la planificación metodológica. Para apoyar estas reflexiones se expone una situación de trabajo de campo en la cual fueron útiles las narrativas digitales para realizar la entrada con las personas y, de manera posterior, para complementar la información de campo.
