Sumario:This article aimed to analyze how short food supply chains influence decent work conditions and occupational health and safety among their actors, integrating occupational health and safety and solidarity economy approaches. A concurrent mixed-method design and a multiple case study were conducted with 34 producer associations located mainly in Caquetá and Huila, Colombia. Hazard identification matrices based on GTC 45, structured surveys, semi-structured interviews, and participant observation were applied between 2023 and 2025 to assess occupational risks, working conditions, and solidarity practices. Results revealed significant exposure to biomechanical, physical, and biological risks, along with limited formal occupational safety management. However, solidarity practices and social capital strengthened empirical prevention and self-care strategies. The study concludes that short food supply chains contribute to decent work and territorial development but require strengthening the preventive culture and labor protection to consolidate safe and sustainable production systems.
