The master's degree in University Mathematical Education, which is developed at the University of Holguín, tries to address this situation from the permanent training of professionals who work as teachers of this discipline in Higher Education. In this article, some of the experiences and results obtained in this program are disclosed, as well as its impact on the territory of Holguin.La superación permanente de los profesionales en Cuba es una prioridad de la Educación Superior, las universidades realizan innumerables esfuerzos para garantizar la misma en todas sus áreas; en el caso de los docentes de Matemáticas esta se hace imprescindible, pues además de las dificultades en el aprendizaje de sus contenidos, existe gran variedad en la formación de los docentes que la imparten. La maestría en Educación Matemática Universitaria, que se desarrolla en la Universidad de Holguín, trata de abordar esta situación desde la formación permanente de los profesionales que se desempeñan como docentes de esta disciplina en la Educación Superior. En el presente artículo se dan a conocer algunas de las experiencias y resultados obtenidos en dicho programa, así como su impacto en el territorio holguinero.A melhoria permanente dos profissionais em Cuba é uma prioridade da Educação Superior, as universidades envidam inúmeros esforços para garanti-la em todas as suas áreas; no caso dos professores de matemática, isso é imprescindível, pois além das dificuldades de aprendizagem de seus conteúdos, existe uma grande variedade na formação dos professores que os ministram. O mestrado em Educação Matemática Universitária, que se desenvolve na Universidade de Holguín, procura dar resposta a esta situação a partir da formação permanente de profissionais que atuam como docentes desta disciplina no Ensino Superior.
