In it, some aspects of their culture are discussed, which are not only important for the studies of this Central South Andean cultural area (Lumbreras, 1981), but also of the total Andean and American areas in general.Las investigaciones desarrolladas en los últimos años han dado a conocer importantes hallazgos referentes a las primeras poblaciones que habitaron la costa norte de Chile. Por eso, nos hemos interesado en preparar, a manera de síntesis, un artículo que analice las formas de adaptación y desarrollo de dichas poblaciones a la vida costera.
