The changes in the global economy were occurring one after another. The markets became more unpredictable, economic models were restructured and companies reinvented themselves. Small businesses with short-term growth were increasingly common to find; and in a certain number of cases, entrepreneurs have shown us that getting out of the status quo is necessary to find “success.” Entrepreneurship today is the protagonist of a boom that is worth documenting. Business Anthropology has much to record, analyze and apply in the near future about entrepreneurship and rapidly growing companies such as startups. This text is a field chronicle based on the anthropological work within a small startup during the period of March to August, 2020. It is based on the first work experience I had and which, coincidentally, was carried out in parallel to a global health crisis. The general objective of the text is to tell the experiences of the work from my anthropological perspective within a company. The chronicle narrated below collects fragments of interviews, reflections and analysis of the positioning of the company “Mamá al rescate.”La crisis por la COVID-19 ha generado consecuencias en diversos aspectos de la vida social en el que destaca, entre ellos, la esfera económica. Los cambios dentro de la economía mundial fueron ocurriendo uno tras otro. Los mercados se volvieron más impredecibles, los modelos utilizados fueron reestructurados y las empresas se reinventaron. Los negocios pequeños y con crecimiento a corto plazo fueron cada día más comunes de encontrar y, en una cierta cantidad de casos, los emprendedores nos han mostrado que salirse del status quo es necesario para encontrar el “éxito”. Los emprendimientos, hoy en día, protagonizan un boom que vale la pena documentar. La Antropología empresarial tiene mucho por registrar, analizar y aplicar dentro de un futuro cercano acerca de los emprendimientos y empresas con rápido crecimiento como los startups. El presente texto es una crónica de campo basada en la labor antropológica dentro de un pequeño startup durante el periodo marzo-agosto del 2020. Se basa en la primera experiencia laboral que tuve y que, coincidentemente, fue ejecutada paralelamente a una crisis sanitaria mundial. De esta forma el objetivo general del texto es contar las experiencias del trabajo desde mi perspectiva antropológica dentro de una empresa.
