Due to this, a type of dynamic legal research is proposed that analyzes the different legal manifestations with the support of interdisciplinarity, such as social sciences. For this, the author points out, it is necessary to stop conceiving the Law as an isolated phenomenon, and start to understand it as part of society; likewise, it must be valued as a tool at the service of the community. In this regard, it is important that the new legal research reflects an instrumental end that allows the Law to be a means that links to the social reality and allows social change.El objetivo del presente artículo es realizar una reflexión respecto a la metodología de investigación jurídica en Latinoamérica. En ese contexto, el autor critica la investigación jurídica tradicional, que se ha focalizado, especialmente, en la comparación normativa, y no en la realidad social y el propósito del Derecho con el cambio social. Debido a ello, se plantea un tipo de investigación jurídica dinámica que analice las distintas manifestaciones jurídicas con el apoyo de la interdisciplinariedad, como las ciencias sociales. Para ello, señala el autor, tiene que dejar de concebirse al Derecho como un fenómeno aislado, y comenzar a comprenderlo como parte de la sociedad; asimismo, debe ser estimado como una herramienta al servicio de la comunidad.
