The findings show that the training trajectories transit between the musical and the pedagogical, where the initial training was mostly in music and the permanent training in pedagogy due to labor reasons, with this information types of training trajectory are proposed. In addition, categories emerged on musical training and training in the development of the occupation that reveal permanent training in non-formal spaces and in the workplace.Este artículo presenta la caracterización de la trayectoria formativa de los docentes de música de una institución educativa privada escolar limeña, con Bachillerato Internacional realizada en el 2019. En ella, mediante formatos de hoja de vida y entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas los docentes del departamento de música a tiempo completo (diez) se analizó la categoría propuesta formación inicial y permanente. Los hallazgos muestran que las trayectorias formativas transitan entre lo musical y lo pedagógico, donde la formación inicial fue mayoritariamente en música y la formación permanente en pedagogía debido a razones de carácter laboral, con esta información se proponen tipos de trayectoria formativa. Además, emergieron categorías sobre formación musical y formación en el desarrollo de la ocupación que develan formación permanente en espacios no formales y en el ámbito laboral.Este artigo apresenta a caracterização da trajetória de formação dos professores de música de uma instituição de ensino privada em Lima, com um Bacharelado Internacional realizado em 2019. Nele, por meio de formatos de currículos e entrevistas semiestruturadas aplicadas pelos professores do departamento de música para em tempo integral (dez) foi analisada a categoria proposta de formação inicial e permanente. Os achados mostram que as trajetórias de formação transitam entre o musical e o pedagógico, onde a formação inicial foi majoritariamente em música e a formação permanente em pedagogia por motivos laborais, com essa informação são propostos tipos de trajetória de formação.
