It has only been in the past decade that deaf adults have been included in classrooms with didactic approaches centered on hearing culture. This research aims to investigate deaf narratives to develop a pedagogical proposal grounded in deaf epistemologies. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 15 deaf individuals using Chilean Sign Language. The data collected was analyzed using Atlas.ti software, employing open and axial coding. The findings indicate that a pedagogical approach for the deaf should encompass the following elements: deaf identity, Chilean Sign Language, and a safe educational environment. The conclusions suggest that these pedagogical proposals should integrate a pedagogy with a deaf experiential perspective.La educación cultural y lingüística de los sordos ha sido poco incorporada en la realidad educativa chilena; hace solo una década que los adultos sordos se han incorporado a las aulas con didácticas centradas en la cultura oyente. El objetivo de esta investigación es indagar en las narrativas de los sordos para levantar una propuesta pedagógica sustentada en las epistemologías sordas. El instrumento aplicado fue una entrevista semiestructurada a 15 personas sordas en lengua de señas chilena. Posteriormente, la información recogida fue gestionada con el software Atlas ti, considerando la codificación abierta y axial. Los resultados muestran que una propuesta pedagógica centrada en los sordos debiera considerar los siguientes aspectos: identidad sorda, lengua de señas chilena y un contexto educativo seguro. Por último, las conclusiones revelan que estas propuestas pedagógicas deberían considerar una pedagogía con una mirada vivencial sorda. A educação cultural-linguística dos surdos tem sido pouco incorporada à realidade educacional chilena; faz apenas uma década que os adultos surdos foram incluídos em salas de aula com uma didática voltada para a cultura auditiva. O objetivo desta pesquisa é investigar as narrativas dos surdos para desenvolver uma proposta pedagógica apoiada nas epistemologias surdas. O instrumento aplicado foi uma entrevista semiestruturada com 15 pessoas surdas em língua de sinais chilena. Posteriormente, as informações coletadas foram analisadas com o software Atlas.ti, considerando codificação aberta e axial. Os resultados indicam que uma proposta pedagógica voltada para os surdos deve considerar os seguintes aspectos: identidade surda, língua de sinais chilena e um contexto educacional seguro.
