The article draws an assessment of the holdings of Cuzco painting school in Lima’s homes during the eighteenth century and analyses the taste of the capital’s elite based on their artistic collections.En el campo de la historia del arte, las fuentes documentales resultan valiosas para conocer las interrelaciones culturales de los colectivos sociales, pues permiten rastrear el origen, criterios y evolución del coleccionismo, ligado estrechamente al desarrollo de tendencias histórico-artísticas en centros culturales florecientes.
