It delves into the definition of social property to extract its core characteristics, providing a framework for evaluating the project and identifying the economic and business transformations it entails.En el año de 1971, se anuncia oficialmente una nueva política de propiedad social en el Perú. A partir de ese momento se genera una discusión teórica y política para la creación de este nuevo sector, aunque en su mayoría caracterizado por un desconocimiento generalizado. Así en 1973 se publica el Proyecto de Ley de Propiedad Social, el cual busca introducir esta política. De este modo, el objetivo del presente artículo es analizar el nuevo régimen de propiedad social empresarial que propone dicho proyecto. En esa dirección, se examina la definición de propiedad social con el objeto de extraer sus características fundamentales.
