La investigación de tendencias en esta disciplina no solo es vital para mantener la calidad asistencial, sino que también constituye un pilar fundamental para el avance del conocimiento médico. La identificación de estas tendencias ofrece una oportunidad invaluable para reconocer vacíos en el conocimiento, señalando áreas de investigación que requieren una atención prioritaria.
