Among the scope of the study is that it applies exclusively to students from the Yucatecan context and UNO, so it is desirable to replicate it with other students of this generation. El estudio fue cualitativo con un diseño fenomenológico, empleando la técnica de los grupos focales, con un muestreo por conveniencia, cuyos participantes acudieron voluntariamente a las entrevistas. Se obtuvo que los estudiantes comprenden el por qué sus profesores enseñan con estrategias diferentes a la forma en la que ellos consideran que aprenden, y se debe a la brecha generacional y su condición de migrantes digitales, siendo la concepción y uso de la tecnología la principal diferencia entre ellos. Entre los alcances del estudio se encuentra que aplica exclusivamente para estudiantes del contexto yucateco y de la UNO, por lo que es deseable replicarlo con otros estudiantes de esta generación. Se concluye que hay diferencias significativas entre las metodologías del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje entre los estudiantes y sus profesores, lo cual impacta en la forma de enseñar y de aprender, ya que utilizan materiales que pueden no ser del todo útiles para la comprensión de los contenidos de las asignaturas.Esta pesquisa foi realizada na Universidad de Oriente (UNO) no México com alunos do primeiro ano do Bacharelado em Desenvolvimento do Turismo, seu objetivo é estabelecer a autopercepção da própria geração e sua relação com o aprendizado e o ensino. seus professores.
