This research aims to investigate the Peruvian educational system as an influence on the loss of the Quechua - Aymara cultural identity of the Puno region, the research is of a descriptive type that corresponds to the quantitative approach. The research aims to rescue and value cultural identity in education in order to preserve the Andean culture in the Puno region and therefore in Peru and strengthen their training to face the sudden changes in educational models in Peru, since the language is the symbol of cultural identity, understanding that the language fulfills a functional role in society and to transmit its traditions, narrations and its sense of Andean man, as collective social promotion of culture, symbol of reciprocity and cooperation or solidarity. The languages are valid (77.8%) and strengthened in the Andean societies that are considered an instrument for social interaction.El Perú se caracteriza por la pluralidad de lenguas y en la región Puno por los idiomas quechua, aimara y el castellano, como lengua oficial del Perú, por otro lado, el uso de las lenguas originarias se restringe en las instituciones educativas de zona urbana y en la universidad por la hegemonía del castellano. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo investigar el sistema educativo peruano como influencia en la pérdida de la identidad cultural quechua – aimara de la región Puno, la investigación es de tipo descriptivo que corresponde al enfoque cuantitativo. La investigación realizada pretende rescatar y valorar la identidad cultural en la educación con el fin de preservar la cultura andina en la región Puno y por ende en el Perú  y fortalecer su formación para enfrentar los cambios repentinos en cuanto a los modelos educativos en el Perú, puesto que la lengua es el símbolo de identidad cultural, entendiendo que la lengua cumple un  rol funcional en la sociedad y para transmitir sus tradiciones, narraciones y su sentir de hombre andino, como promoción social colectiva de la cultura, símbolo de reciprocidad y cooperación o solidaridad.
