Although the family should be the place where children are trained on this topic, parents do not feelprepared for it for different reasons since they do not have the appropriate knowledge to be able to answer the questions oftheir adolescent children.En la actualidad, la sexualidad sigue siendo un tema tabú y con muchos mitos a su alrededor, por lo que la educación sexual debe ser parte de la formación de todo ser humano, sobre todo en la adolescencia, dado que en esta etapa surgen muchas dudas, preguntas y cuestionamientos sobre diferentes temas. En muchos casos, la información que tienen los adolescentes de los pares, la escuela, los medios de comunicación o de internet es distorsionada.
