In this opinion article we will deal with three aspects in which both healthcare professionals and lay people continue using wrong terms and concepts.La lepra es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa que aun se encuentra en el Perú especificamente en algunas regiones de la amazonía peruana. La terminologia utilizada para expresar aspectos relevantes de esta enfermedad son muchas veces erróneos y se vienen arrastrando desde la época del medioevo.
