We also discuss the teaching-learning processes, the adequate timing for teaching medical ethics, and the role of medical school teachers for achieving their educational and research objectives.En este artículo se intenta fundamentar la necesidad de incorporar la enseñanza de la ética médica y de la bioética clínica en los currículos de las facultades o escuelas de medicina, necesidad que surge de las novísimas situaciones planteadas por el creciente desarrollo de la la tecnología médicas, las mismas que exigen el más cuidadoso respeto de los principios de la bioética y de los derechos fundamentales de la persona como el marco más adecuado para la toma decisiones en las intervenciones médicas.
