Since the Compañia de Jesus was created, it is not surprising that in the different places they worked at they promoted scientific progress. A clear example of this is the development of some microbiological thoughts in Universidad de San Gregorio Magno in the Real Audiencia (Royal Supreme Court) of Quito.  Los jesuitas siempre han sido hombres progresistas agrupados en la compañia de Jesús. Abocados a la creación de hombre nuevos con valores capaces de crear una historia distinta con justicia, ciencia y fé. Desde la época de la creación de la compañia de Jesús no es de extrañar que en los distintos lugares en donde estuvieron afincados hayan traido progreso científico al quehacer.
