Two patients were given adrenal steroids without any evidence of improvement. Se han estudiado cinco casos de hemoglobinuria paroxística nocturna. En cuatro de ellos la enfermedad se manifiesta en su forma clásica y en uno se muestra más como "defecto" que como enfermedad. Todos nuestros pacientes se presentaron como anemia al inicio de su enfermedad, tres con leucopenia y dos con trombocitopenia. Ningún paciente recibió tratamiento a base de hierro, tres pacientes recibieron terapia androgénica siendo sólo uno de ellos beneficiado.
